I have been able to photograph Ava for all of her 12 years. I absolutely love getting to watch her grow up in my lens. This session we decided to return to a park we used when she was much younger. It was fun to pose her in a similar spot and way to have a comparison. She is growing into a beautiful young lady who is as sweet as can be. I often see her in my mind much more the little girl when we first photograph here rather then realizing the young woman she is becoming. Either way I love photographing her!

A New Union
This session was so fun. It was to celebrate an engagement and the new union of this family from the engagement. I loved seeing how the kids already love Trey so much. I also enjoyed capturing Kytrell and Trey as the newness of the engagement brings giggles, sparks and expression of love. What a precious family to get in front of my camera.
A remarkable lady, and a sweet family
I first became friends with Diane along the sidelines of soccer. Even though we no longer enjoy those sidelines chats we have managed to remain in touch. I always look forward to a coffee with Diane. I love to hear her passion for her kids and the ways she teaches and embraces what inspires them. I enjoy hearing how she loves and supports Dan and champions their family business. She is pretty remarkable lady. We have talked about doing a session for many years and I am so glad it worked out this fall. It was fun getting to chat with the kids and capture this sweet family.
Telling Her Story
For Emma’s senior session we went all over Jefferson City and beyond to capture some of her favorite places and to tell her story. Her story is one of theater, music, faith and family. Emma is a sweet, unassuming, laid back kind of girl. She has a smile that is contagious. She was up to try anything. It was a blast for me to try new locations and new ideas. I am go glad I got to capture this beautiful senior.
Beauty
I see beauty here. I see it beyond the obvious beauty of this sweet precious gift of a baby. I see beauty in the care and attention her nursery has. I see it in how her mommy has embraced her new role in a way she looks like she has done it for years. I see it in the way her parents are working as a team to meet her needs. I see it in the contagious smile of her parents every time they lay eyes on her. I see it in the new found love and respect her daddy now has for her mommy. I see it in the creation of a family. It’s all over the place and it was my privilege to capture it.
Beyond Gorgeous
I know GORGEOUS is probably the first word that comes to mind with this couple. Which they absolutely are! However they go beyond gorgeous! They are genuine, kind and sweet. You can’t help but smile after being around them. They are over the moon about the arrival of their baby girl. We had so much fun at their session. I love when I am given the freedom to create freely and when I have such amazing subjects. I can not wait to get my hands on the beauty of what is assured their baby girl will be.
Becoming Home
The Moseley’s moved here about a year ago when John took over as head basketball coach at Lincoln University. I have enjoyed getting to know them better over the last year. I have watched as they have made the transition to small town living and embraced the busy life of a head basketball coach’s family. I know the transition has not always been the easiest. However, I appreciate how Crystal loves and supports John. I love that the LU Tigers biggest fan is little Miss J. This is a family obviously has much love for each other. I am glad that Jefferson City is becoming home and we have become friends.
Milestones
I love getting to photograph this family’s milestones. I captured the sweet moments of their wedding as they vowed their life together. A short 3 years ago I documented their precious baby girl’s newborness. This time around they welcomed baby number 2, a little boy, Augustus. He is marvelous. He was chilled and sweet. His sister was eager to tell me about her Baby Gus. As a photographer it’s such a joy and a privilege to capture moments of life especially when they seem to flash before my eyes. This family is very dear to me and I am glad I can capture milestones for them.

A Genuine, Fun Family
What you see, is what you get with the Jett family. And typically what you get is fun. They are up for just about anything, just about anytime. I love how they embrace life and try to live it to the fullest. It was fun to explore an area of Missouri I had never been. Our session was a bit of an adventure as we dared to do majority of it on a country dirt road often yelling “car” to make sure everyone got out of the way. After the car would pass we would continue with the session. It was a fun adventure, and my privilege this very genuine, very fun family.
The Wait
I have waited for this little precious girl to be born for 13 years. I can clearly remember her mommy, then single, telling me how she felt the greatest calling on her life was to be a mommy. If the 13 years wasn’t a long enough wait, this baby girl decided to also be 10 days late. Each day for the last month of the pregnancy I was on pins and needles anxious for “the call” She even had us all waiting during delivery taking her own time. I then had to wait a whole 10 days before I got my hands on her. She though, without a doubt was worth the wait and a gift from God. I know there were many moments in the last 13 years that her mommy wonder if that calling would ever come to reality. I can clearly remembering praying for and with my best friend that God would guide and direct her, even with this huge longing. I know for Anna holding her daughter is a fulfillment of her heart’s cry. Oh precious Ryn, you were are a fulfillment of a dream God whispered to your mommy since she was a little girl. To hold you, love you and photograph you was nothing short of joy.
