Lifetime Clients

One of my all time favorite thing about photography is having a lifetime client. I have photographed milestones in this family from engagement, to wedding to births to first steps to yearly family photos. I simply adore it! This family has a special place in my heart! I love that they want to try new places and explore the possibilities. We had so much fun at the tree farm. I am also hugely appreciative to Krissie because she is the creative mind and extreme talent behind my awesome website. Check it out while you are here, she did such a great job!

A remarkable lady, and a sweet family

I first became friends with Diane along the sidelines of soccer. Even though we no longer enjoy those sidelines chats we have managed to remain in touch. I always look forward to a coffee with Diane. I love to hear her passion for her kids and the ways she teaches and embraces what inspires them. I enjoy hearing how she loves and supports Dan and champions their family business. She is pretty remarkable lady. We have talked about doing a session for many years and I am so glad it worked out this fall. It was fun getting to chat with the kids and capture this sweet family.

Beautiful Family

I will admit I was a bit nervous for this session.  Last time we did a family session Eli was younger and lets just say he was not a fan of a me, my camera or the smiling thing.  Thankfully he decided I was alright this time around and became my little model! One of our goals was to capture the beauty of fall and even though the leaves were not as cooperative as we like I think we were able to still enjoy the essence of fall with this beautiful family.

Thin Blue Line

When I think of the Thin Blue Line I think of Javier. I think of the sacrifice he makes for to his family. His willingness to lay down his life in name of justice and protection. His willingness to carry the burden of seeing the worst of humanity every time he puts his uniform on. The fact he takes Micah 6:8 as a banner “Act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with your God”  I think on the fact that before his is a police officer, he is a Christ follower. Javier is the best of the best. He is the officer you want walking up to the scene. His level headed,  and put anyone at ease way makes him the right man to carry that badge with honor. What a privilege to capture this man and his family.

A fun adventure

Elle’s session was one full of fun adventure. Which may have included a bit of hiking. I loved that she had ideas and thoughts but was also interested in direction and trying different things. It was super hard to narrow these photos down for a sneak peek. This girl is stunning and does not take a bad photo.

Meaning

I love so much when a client suggest a location that has meaning to them.  I love when there is a story behind the scenery. This location was a place that has deep memories and meaning to Eli. It was fun to hear him reminisce about spending countless hours on that bridge and road.  We happen to choose a perfect date for the fall to show off it’s beauty. What a joy to photograph this family in this significant location.

Not as planned

Things may have not gone exactly as we planned it for this session but this family rocked it anyway.  I love that this family embraces chaos and flexibility. I think those are wonderful things to encompass in life. They were willing to do exactly what I needed when I needed them to do it.  They are a pretty remarkable bunch that have obvious love for each other.  It was great fun to take a moment out of the crazy to capture them as a family.

In a blink of an eye

In a blink of an eye Parker went from a little girl to a woman. Her family is near and dear to our hearts and we have watched her grow up over the years. What a joy she is. I had so much fun reminiscing, laughing and getting caught up. She was so chill about her senior session and it was such an enjoyable one to do. I am impressed with her self assurance, inner beauty and as always I am taken by those gorgeous eyes. It’s hard to believe we are already doing her senior session but I am blessed to be the one behind the camera to capture this milestone.

My chance

I usually go to Jodi to feel beautiful. She does remarkable things with my hair. I always enjoy an appointment with her. I was ecstatic when she approached me about doing some head shots. It was my turn to make her feel like the beauty she is.  This is a precious woman of God is filled with wisdom, perseverance and whimsical.   She is a gem of a woman and I am privileged to capture who she is.

Sometimes

Sometimes a friend of a friend hears about your work and gives you a call. Sometimes that leads to a session. Sometimes that leads to a beautiful spring day. Sometimes that leads to capturing a gorgeous senior. Sometimes that leads to capturing moments that will be embraced for years to come. This was my Saturday and I would not trade it for the world.
