Miss Eliza B has grown since our last session. http://heathernelsonphotography.wordpress.com/2009/11/06/miss-eliza-b/ She has turned one! She still has those delicious cheeks and is full of personality. She was very uncertain of walking for me, it took to the very end of the session and some solid ground to see her take off. She was a delight to photograph.
Category: Sneak Peek
Much anticipation
Layla was a baby born with much mystery until she arrived. Her parents knew the details of her gender and her name but choose not to share those details. All of their friends and family were very anxious to hear all about the specifics. Even big sister Lilly was in the dark. She turned out to be a healthy, beautiful little girl that adds so much to this awesome family of four.
Ended with a Splash
Ava’s session went very smoothly. She knows how to work the camera with that adorable shy smile. She knows just the look to give at the right moment. She is just plain cute! The best part of Ava’s session for both her and I was the end. Her mom thought it was a great idea to let her play in the splash foundation. Ava loved getting permission to touch the very tempting water and being allowed to not only touch it but get wet! I loved it for the pure expression of 4 year old gives when getting to play in water. It made for a great ending to a fantastic session.
Entertaining
You are never sure when Lilly will break into song or have a silly little phrase come out of her mouth. She is very advanced in her verbal skills for a 2.5 year old. This makes the things she says so unperdictable. She cracks me up. I am often surprised at what she says and how even knew that word or phrase. I know she leaves her parents laughing all the time. She is entertaining to say the least and it was great fun to capture the many faces of this delightful girl.
A Fighter
Faith decided to come into the world 9 week early. She weighed in at 3lbs and 4 oz. She was fighter from the word go. She spent 2 months in the NICU and accomplished all the things they required for her to head home. She did amazing! It’s hard to believe it’s the same baby I photograph the first day when you look at those fantastic chubby cheeks. Her parents are also fighters. They took on the difficulty of having a preemie with amazing grace and perseverance. The schedule they kept often left them weary but the love Faith felt was worth it. Faith is lucky to have such wonderful parents.
Sleeping Beauty??
I was assured that once Aniston ate she would be a sleeping beauty. However, Miss Aniston had other plans. She didn’t want to miss a minute of what was happening around her. She was bright eyes the entire session. Her brother Jett was quick to make sure I knew Aniston was his “baby sister”. He is a proud big brother. Even though Aniston wasn’t a sleeping beauty she still was a beauty and I was able to capture some wonderful images of a fantastic family.
Ideal baby
Hayden was my ideal baby. He was sleeping most of the time and let me pose him anyway we wanted. He did amazing! He was so sweet and laid back. So far he has been an easy baby for his parents, I hope he continues that trend. He was wonderful to photograph.
Spitting Image
Kaleb is the spitting image of his older brother Brinton as a newborn. It’s sort of crazy how closely they look a like. It will be interesting to see if that continues as Kaleb grows. Brinton is going to be a great big brother. He is already a help to his mommy. He even wanted to get in on the action and have some photographs taken. This is a great family that Kaleb is blessed to be apart of. I enjoyed the chance to capture this wonderful family.
Fully clothed please
Miss Haley wanted nothing to do with being naked! She was not a happy girl when I would try to get her down to nothing. I would get her all warm and cozy in a blanket and then try to to slowly take the blanket away and she would almost instantly awake and be upset with me. We were able to still capture some precious moments. Some of my favorites is of her sound asleep all cozy in her mommy’s arms at sunset.
Our paths keep crossing
The Adkison family has been in my extended families life one way or another for the last several years. I originally met them when they moved to my parents hometown. Erine worked at the church where my dad volunteers. They only had two little ones then. I would often enjoy chats with them when I visited my folks. I happen to be home the weekend that their youngest was born. Then a few years ago they made a move and Erine ended up being the pastor at my brothers church. So our paths still keep crossing. I enjoy anytime I get to spend with this remarkable family. Mindy has been wanting me to photograph her family for awhile I am glad that we were able to work out the details to create some great images.
