I love new babies; the smell, the little noises, and all the tiny parts. This sweet baby girl was no exception. I think I would have been content to hang out all day just cuddling her and photographing each part that made her so special. As you can see she is a keeper.

An old friend’s little sweetie
Jenny is an old friend that I had not seen for years. She got a hold of me because she was in town for a few days and really wanted me to photograph her and her precious little girl Maija. I am so glad we were able to work out a session. Maija is a sweet little girl that did an amazing job during her session. She of course was full of energy as I would expect any 2 year old to be, however she followed directions wonderfully and we were able to create some fantastic images. We even got to catch of few of Jenny and her together. Of course the session would not be complete without Jenny having a mini session of her own.
The Vaughn Family
To know the Vaughn’s is to know a family full of love and passion. They are the type of family that literally would give you the shirt of their back. They are the type of people that are the first to offer any help they are able. The addition of Evalana has only added to their well of love and depths it can go. I am not sure if Evalana knows just how loved she truly is. I count it a privilege to have people like that in my life.
Exploring Everything
Evalana is exploring everything. She was interested in the water, the trees, my stools, her play car, you name it she wanted to explore it. She didn’t seem to mind me photographing away at the same time. Every once and awhile she would look up at me give me a look like, “wonder what she is doing” then go back to her determined task at hand. As you can see Evalana has remarkable blue eyes. I loved getting to capture not only the beauty of them but the life she captures in them.
Sweet little boy
Justus is a sweet nature little man. He found his “spot” on each person that held him and snuggled right in. I do think though his favorite part was getting to lay on the blanket in the basket. He sighed and just relaxed and let me photograph away. He was content to lay there and be admired.
Miss Ava
Miss Ava has just turned 3. She did amazing during her session. She would flash me a smile in a second. She listen to direction so well. I think my favorite part of the session was when I would ask her to portray an emotion and she was able to without hesitation. I have not concluded if she is just brilliant or dramatic. I think maybe just a little bit of both. Either way the photographs turn out great!
Anticipation
Little Mr. Justus will arrive sometime this week. Danna is hoping that it will be soon and on his own. I am so glad he waited though for us to get some great tummy photographs. As with any new baby there is a lot of anticipation of how he will arrive, when, what he will look like etc. I do know this will be one adorable little boy, and no matter how or when he enters this world he is blessed already with a family that is crazy about him.
Another amazing couple
Harry and Linda have been married for 37 years. Once again I am amazed and inspired. I hope that Jon and I feel as at ease and comfortable with each other as Linda and Harry when we have been married that long. I also hope we are full of laughter, just like them. It’s so encouraging to see couples who beat the odds and make their marriage last. Thanks for being an example!
An Aspiring Photographer?
I had the opportunity to photograph three generation in the Moody family. After our photography session Cole started asking me about photography. Of course, I loved telling him the details of my work. He asked me awesome questions! Definitely a handsome, intelligent, young man. I hope that his interests turns into a hobby and who knows maybe a career.
The Hadachek Boys
The Hadachek boys are a handsome group. I stated my claim to their mom that I would take no responsibility when these boys photographed older then they are. I was amazed to find out that J. was only 12 and B. was 10. L. of course looked and acted like a typical 1.5 year old; running, running, running. I was so grateful for the older boys who helped chase him. There is an obvious love between the three boys. We had a great session! Good luck Mom and Dad with these handsome boys, lock your doors now!
