Sleeping Beauty??

I was assured that once Aniston ate she would be a sleeping beauty. However, Miss Aniston had other plans.  She didn’t want to miss a minute of what was happening around her.  She was bright eyes the entire session.  Her brother Jett was quick to make sure I knew Aniston was his “baby sister”.  He is a proud big brother.  Even though Aniston wasn’t a sleeping beauty she still was a beauty and I was able to capture some wonderful images of a fantastic family.

Spitting Image

Kaleb is the spitting image of his older brother Brinton as a newborn. It’s sort of crazy how closely they look a like.  It will be interesting to see if that continues as Kaleb grows.  Brinton is going to be a great big brother.  He is already a help to his mommy.  He even wanted to get in on the action and have some photographs taken.  This is a great family that Kaleb is blessed to be apart of.  I enjoyed the chance to capture this wonderful  family.

All grown up

I first met Lindsie when she was apart of a youth group that I helped at in college.  I have fond memories of Lindsie as a teenager but she is all grown up now. It’s amazing for me to see the woman she has become.  I had the privilege of photographing her family.  She is now not only the mother of three cuties but an amazing wife as well.  Along with her family I met and photograph her in laws who adore being grandparents to these three adorable kiddos.  It was a beautiful day,  a wonderful session and a great family to photograph.

Another Milestone

John and Kim were married on a beautiful fall day and I was there to capture that major milestone in their life.  I was ecstatic to find out they reached another milestone when they brought their two boys home from Ethiopia and that they sought me out to archive the first family photographs.   These two boys steal your heart the moment you meet them.  John and Kim are so natural at parenting them.  Our session wasn’t without it’s breakdowns but overall it was a great morning on a gorgeous spring day.

Snowed In

So what does one do when they are snowed in for a better part of a week with a 17 month old?  Well, when you are a photographer you grab your camera and work on some photography skills.  I am not sure if Alea was happy about being a subject especially when I kept trying to keep her in certain light however she was a pretty good sport about it.  I am always trying to challenge my skills especially when understanding light.  I took the opportunity to enjoy the amazing light the snow was casting into the window.

The Negotiator

Landry was a top negotiator at our session.  An expert lawyer has nothing on this little boy.  He would allow me to photograph him based on his locations and his ideas.  He found certain places in the garden.  He wanted to play his guitar.  He wanted to photograph me photographing him.  I think my favorite time was when he finally decided to sit in the chair I had tried to get him for the last hour, of course it became his idea to seat there.  He began talking to me and told me “When I grow up I want to be a daddy”.  It melted my heart! Regardless of where, what or how we were able to get some great moments of this a little boy full of personality.

Miss Eliza B

Eliza B loves her mama.  She was not happy if mommy had to go to tend to anything other then her.  She was not to sure about having her photographs taken naked, without anyone to cuddle or sooth her.  She was most happy with her mama doing a little ssh, swinging dance that only a mama can do to rock this precious girl to sleep.  Once asleep, she was content to let us move her this way and that as long as mama’s reassuring arms were there.  We were able to capture some great photographs of this ever so sweet Eliza B.
